Episode 97 is just 5 guys who like hanging out with one another. There is no other podcast out there with the friendship and chemistry like the 40cast crew has with one another. This show is a typical 40cast, with all the usual topics covering video games, movies and television discussions. Brew Buzz is just sharing the love of the Social Beer Drinking application Untappd and we have plenty of side topics too. VicJoh brings a serious relationship topic to the table and we talk about the Time magazine breast feeding cover controversy. Episode 96 Of The 40cast – Teetocks in Paradise

This week on Episode 95 we double up the police presence with special guest Jeremy Twigg (@twigg4075) one of Baltimore County’s finest! It’s the usual stuff with a little more sports talk thrown in for good measure. VicJoh tells us about his past when he was a Bad Mutha F**ker, LuceScrew talks about what makes a brewery craft on the Brew Buzz segment, Keith brings a ton of weird news to the table and GloveBox shows us his sensitive side. This week DeviousMrMatt takes the drunk seat, so expect some good laughs. We have a short sex topic about random studies that crack us up. We also get a little serious with a relationship question asking if we rely on our wives a lot. MLB the Show 2012 Review

MLB the Show is pretty much the main reason why I bought a PlayStation 3 last year. I always heard so many good things about MLB the Show and since I like baseball, I had to have it.

This year’s version of The Show does not disappoint. The graphics are top notch and are hard to beat. The presentation is superb! It is damn near close to watching a MLB game on TV. During gameplay the game does its best to show off players mannerisms and character traits. Most players have their signature batting stance or pitching stance in the game. The commentary can get repetitive at times and can it can also be harsh to the user. When it comes to hitting I am a hack and swing at almost anything, so a lot of times I get the commentators getting jabs in at me during batting.

Thankfully the games come with many options and adjustments you can make to make it better for you. There is a whole section to optimize sliders to help make the game easier or harder for you to play. I suggest if you are having issues, this is the first thing you should look at and adjust.

This year’s version of The Show also was made available for the new PlayStation Vita. They had an excellent deal to where you could buy both the PS3 version and Vita Version for a bundled price of $80. This bundle would save you $20 off of buying each game separate. This bundle was made possible because you can start a season, franchise or Road to The Show game and continue that onto your Vita! Utilizing a cloud save feature you can start a season or franchise on your PS3 and continue that same season on your Vita! That is huge for those of us that like play a full season or franchise. The process is also seamless, it just works.

Graphics on the Vita aren’t bad at all either. They are not PS3 quality but pretty damn good. The Vita version also cuts out a lot of the “fluff” to make the game flow faster for easier and faster on the go gameplay. It works out really well.

Online gameplay works great. I have had the opportunity to play games online with Victor and Denny. Using the Vita’s party system it was fun talking to those guys while playing the game. Lag was minimal except when going to the bullpen where button presses took a while to register. Besides that, I look forward to playing more games online with those guys soon!
