Let me start off by saying this is not a review. I am lucky enough to be a part of an awesome podcast and website where I can voice my opinions and have them posted for the entire world to see. Ok now to the business at hand…..I have listened to various podcast and read many reviews about EA’s newest release of Medal of Honor Warfighter. I and a couple of my 40 Cast brotheren have purchased and played this title and for the life of me I cannot understand the scores this game has been getting. While I understand MOH is not revolutionizing the first person shooter genre, it certainly is not a 4 out of 10. I have even heard the complaints of day one patching and how everyone thinks this is wrong. Well if your system automatically updates the game, how do you know what you are “NOT” getting. Personally I don’t really care about day one patching. Of course the game should be finished and done but deadlines and companies like “EA” push games out like pregnant women in the delivery room.

Now I don’t want “OTHER” gaming hubs to come down on The 40 Cast because “GloveBox” is being a little outspoken here. Hell, I might get into a Beta or two but to my knowledge we don’t get review copies of games or anything like that and EA is not on my payroll. From what I understand many of these so called gaming hubs are upset because preview copies weren’t sent to them prior to the release of the game. Thus making review articles and videos dead in the water. So the way I see it is errrbody mad at EA. Well except GloveBox. To me the game is a solid 7 or 8 out of 10. Here’s why…like I said before MOH is not reinventing the wheel. I think this game is a hybrid of Call of Duty and Battlefield 3. The DICE engine is on point as usual and if I were to look at this game quickly, it looks like Call of Duty. I think we should base MOH Warfighter on it’s own merits. Sure its nothing we haven’t seen before but what about that person who only had a Wii console and decided to switch to the XBox 360 (Vic did you notice what I did there….I didn’t say PS3 LOL) and they picked up MOH Warfighter. They would be all kinds of excited about this series. Do I think it’s worth the 60 dollar price tag…NOPE but a $39.99 deal of the day on say Amazon would do well.

I by no means a grapics whore but I think the facial textures and all around Micheal Bay blowing up of shit is outta control. When I tell you it looks good on 92 inches…please believe it does. I guess the bottom line of this little rant I’m having is make your own decisions and don’t let any of these “Gaming Hubs” influence your purchases. I mean if you really need an opinion on a game…ask us here at The 40 Cast. We are not getting paid to do what we do and we all have our likes and dislikes. At the end of the day the choice is yours.
